It doesn't really matter how many people you could cram into a certain area.

You could fit all the people on earth in Texas, but you certainly couldn't provide food, water, housing, and energy for all of them just with what's in Texas.

In terms of providing everyone in the world with a decent standard of living we're probably getting close to earth's carrying capacity. This tends to be used as an excuse for racism a lot, especially when people in developed countries use a disproportionate amount of resources, but nevertheless it's still true that earth has a finite amount of resources and the human population can't keep growing forever.

People are having fewer kids these days though, so I'd like to believe it'll level out.

The world is not overpopulated, this is an angle sold by rich racist cacs with their eugenics programs. They tell you the world is overpopulated and we need to do something about it but all their solutions involve slowing growth of ethnic minorities.

The world seems overpopulated because people are concentrated in a few areas, for example in England all is invested almost exclusively in London, you'd think population growth is a problem judging by London, but travel to places like Leeds and Liverpool and Middlesborough where the government neglect to invest in and you will find whole streets of empty derelict houses. People flock to London because it's where the Jobs and the money.

They then also claim resources such as food and fuel are not enough but do you know how much of that we waste here in privileged western society? How much food we just dispose of everyday? The world is more than capable of sustaining the current population and much more, its our management which is the problem.

The lie of overpopulation is an excuse they will use for the control and even the culling of undesirable segments of society.

No, they just set it up so we have to live next to each other in a few big cities which causes congestion, crime and high stress levels.

The world is overpopulated if you consider how many nonrenewable resources we have.

There is so much unused land on earth that the notion of overpopulation in terms of space is fukkING LAUGHABLE

In terms of food..also laughable....the amount of food wasted and destroyed is an absolute travesty

I mean people might have heard me say this in many different threads...if people had a lick of common sense remote work for many companies would be a bigger thing and these nutball real estate markets would be a funny anecdote....hhaha remember when we used to pay 48K a year to live in a sardine can surrounded by cokeheads.....

In the Silver Lining
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder, the entire world's population could fit within the 500 square miles (1,300 square kilometers) of Los Angeles.

It's estimated that a total of 108 billion people have lived on Earth

Of the 108 billion people that have ever been alive, it's estimated that 6.4 percent of them—seven billion—are alive now.

and with so many innovative alternativer solar energy projects in the future, all it would depend on his how country leaders use and implement these thing.

It's just population. It extraction of unsustainable resources to provide "developed" quality of life for the billions, not to mention the waste generated that is never put back into use that is the problem. 90% Of Plastic Waste Polluting Earth's Oceans Comes From Asia and Africa

We could all stand shoulder to shoulder in L.A. or Texas or wherever. But jokers have to sleep horizontal, they need room to grow food, they need room to extract resources, they need room to take a shiit and bot spread disease, they need room for play and comfort, they need room for what we use to call privacy. That requires way more room than Texas for 7.5 billion people.

However I do think population growth rates in places like Bangladesh and Nigeria are a lil wild.
