Eddie Murphys-Party all time time was number TWO on the billboard hot 100. To put this in perspective, it peaked higher than MC Hammers Cant Touch this.

Classic movies:
His movies have grossed well over 2 billion dollars. His highest grossing movie(as a LEAD character) grossed 919 million.

He's definitely a talented, comedic genius. In the 80s when he was at his peak, it's almost hard to believe dude was only 20 something and putting in all that work. Everything from the voice and mannerisms of his movie/stand up comedy characters was spot on.
