
You'd get more value getting a minor in Spanish or some other foreign language in the American job market.

But if you got money to burn, why not do it? Generally speaking minors are ignored by employers unless it's some niche industry specialization. The only way English would help you is if you were getting a general degree in education and wanted to augment it, or if you wanted to teach English abroad, but your main degree was unrelated.. Otherwise, you'd get more value by just using the money as toilet paper.
