xbox has shooters, i couldn't care less about shooters. I prefer RPGs and sandbox and PS4 has both and even some exclusives like Horizon and Gravity Rush. :yeshrug:

It's not a money thing. You just have preferences. Even the guys on here who pretend they have no "preference" at all are lying, they certainly do. There's PC gamers on here that stay stanning anything related to Steam/PC gaming yet have the audacity to call people stans and act like they're above it. Lol.

Make no mistake about it, I'm a Playstation/Nintendo guy first and foremost because their franchises are more varied and fun to me. Now that Xbox has their games on Windows 10, I might never buy an Xbox console. Hell, the games out now don't interest me. I haven't touched Killer instinct, Gears, or Quantam Break on Windows 10 and by now they're pretty okay ports so there's that. I just don't care about those games. Also, it's just fun saying Larrybox. The "wars" and shyt are fun on here. I don't think it'd be fun if Meach or PS4 wasn't stanning Xbox so hard. meach and em brings a balance :laff:.

I don't see it as a money thing.

People will generally just gravitate towards one product and defend it the most even if they though own both.

That's why you see so many I'm not a fan boy/Stan or that dumb shyt I own both but this is why one product is way better than the other type posts then list a bunch of subjective opinion based reasons
They have an ego and think their opinion = the truth
So is fanboyism = preference?

To me, fanboyism comes from that GameFAQs type culture. calling mother fukkers Xbots and nintendo fans Drones. I always looked at them as making that one purchase and sticking with it, not because they could own them all. Quite the opposite, most gamers when the fanboyism started (Sega vs Nintendo 16-bit era) weren't even adults, a lot of their parents bought one system and only one. Multi-console owners were a rarity back then and seemingly still is.

Nowadays, fanboyism just morphed into outright trolling. No investments made, just baseless online shyt flinging. To be clear, preferences is most certainly a thing but don't really lead into arguments until someone starts trolling.

...or they've owned both and prefer the open nature of android instead of the closed off how can we squeeze every dime out our customers nature of apple products.
I own both a Galaxy S7 and an iPhone 6s. It terms of major functionality there isn't any one thing you can do on one that can't somehow be done on the other.

On Android your freedom comes at the expense of some features working as they should. For example I have the same apps on both phones and on the Android only my Chase app allows me to login with the fingerprint scanner. On the iPhone 6s all my banking, credit card, and financial apps use it. The Galaxy S5, S6, and S7 all have had the scanner and it's still not a standard feature.

When these OEMs add functionality to their phones if they come up with a good idea it could be 3-4 phone generations before it's fully implemented through the OS and into the apps. Hell HTC just added the fingerprint scanner on the HTC 10 when phones have had it since the HTC One M8 at least. When Apple comes out with a new feature usually within that phone generation it's standardized maybe 1.5 generations at most you can use it in most apps.

That's not to say that Androids freedom doesn't have advantages because it does but it also comes with disadvantages as well just as Apples locked down nature has advantages and disadvantages.

....see how easy it was to bait you into "fan boyism" ?

Some android Stan would see this post go into a tirade arguing with you and you'd respond with your own opinion/preference in kind.

That's not fanboyism. It's the honest truth. There are advantages and disadvantages to both platforms. There are things I can do on my Galaxy that are cumbersome as hell to do on my iPhone like making a call using my Google Voice number especially from the web browser. I still own both and I like both for different reasons. One isn't necessarily better than the other because when you look at all the major functionality they both have cameras, both text and make calls, both for the most part run the same apps.

Fanboyism would be me saying Android is garbage and Apple shyts on them which is not true.

Fan boyism was you saying all the people that shyt on apple are android users that have never used an apple. Implying that if they had used both they'd have no reason to shyt on apple.

It's called getting a company to compete with the rival company so we as consumers can benefit.

It's funny watching people justify being 20+ still writing essays on why one console is better.

Maybe one game looks better on one console than the other. Maybe theres a few good exclusives here and there

They all do the same shyt at the end of the day :mjlol:

I have a ps4, wii u. Theres maybe 3 or 4 xbox exclusives I wish I had, maybe I'll cop the S when it comes out.

Again that isn't fanboyism. What I'm saying is on either side there are benefits and drawbacks. You'll make trade-offs either way. Its one thing to have a preference after using both. shytting on one side and praising the other is fanboyism. Saying I used both and I prefer this one for this reason is far different than shytting on side A over B.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Do people fanboy when they own all consoles?
do you honestly believe that in 7 years and hundreds of dollars worth of price drops/used systems... that everyone couldn't own two systems??

there was a point back when games were different on two consoles... or each system had about 100 exclusives...

but i think there's about 5 exclusives i'd want to PLAY on xbone... let alone buy.... and most the multiplats look worse... so why would i waste the money on that

let them drop something i really want, and i'd be right there buying one like any other person would be... nobody is that damn poor
