is fast and furious the only movie franchise that completely lost its roots?

The last 4-5 installments...I can't tell them apart.

You show me a full scene from any of the last 5, I wouldn't be able to tell which particular movie it's from. I'd be clueless.

shyt House of Cards went completely Looney Tunes after a few seasons.
:beli:
shyt if were including tv shows and non-move franchises

than you can argue Dragonball has lost its roots

from the characters being Asian fantasy-based especially Goku and Piccolo to now everything is about aliens.

Infact the world of DB(DB earth) has lots its roots where it was fantastical to now being realistic. Which that occured post-frieza and Tien now being revealed as a descendents of aliens relfects this

The first 3 movies are the worst 3 of the franchise. That early 2000's "urban" shyt was corny at the time and is even cornier now. If they wouldve stuck to racing Civics Tokyo Drift would've been the end of it

nah the first one set the whole table for everything. All the family shyt and all the callbacks originate from the first one. It has quotes that ppl still reference on here to this day.

And I liked Tokyo Drift :manny:

Fast Five is great tho and was a needed change.

I wouldn’t mind Hobbs & Shaw villain Idris Elba aka Brexton gettin a stand-alone movie where he beating up cacs, shooting, and doing stunts on that Transformer motorcycle

The series really went from petty criminals street racing in abandoned back alleys to them teaming up with the U.S. government to stop international terrorism and shyt though:dwillhuh::mjlol:

Word.

Dom and his crew went from street level mechanics to the best counter-terrorism unit the world has ever seen.

Definitely not the only one but it's probably the one that goes furthest away from its roots. They need to reboot the franchise and go back to the basics
