Known figure maybe but legend? Nah.

Joe's had his few missteps in his career. That move to Miami was one (Holla At Me Baby came on the shuffle and I remembered how awful his verse was on it) had quite a streak of bad verses. His commercial songs aren't that good either: What's Love with Ashanti, Get It Poppin' with Nelly and Make It Rain.

If anything he's well respected and has dropped knowledge in his interviews.

These feds want me for some tax evasion
Mad at the fact that somebody's gettin loot that's not Caucasian
Bullets be blazin
In these streets filled with torture
Joey Crack, aka Keyser Saucer

That's the first one that came to mind, and it includes a mispronounced name to fit the rhyme

i have a real problem with people calling 2000's club rappers "legends" or having "classics".:mjlol:

funny thing is, he was around during the Golden Era. He was looked on as a gimmick and his staying power was due to the people around him. His first album dropped in 93. Dude got 22 years in the game and he dont have one classic cd. He shouldn't be a legend just cuz he was able to linger around forever.

but he was always good for a hit though you gotta admit. from like 01-07 i feel like joe was a constant presence on radio. lot of classic hits from that period got his name on em.

Jose is the closest thing to a classic. Don Cartegena was dope also.
