It’s really simple. FBA are a group of Black ppl who were enslaved in the United States. If anyone in your family comes from that group and you’ve maintained citizenship til this day, you are FBA.

All the other shht as far as philosophies and political ideology is irrelevant. You can be a c00n and an FBA. You can be Pan African, and an FBA. You can absolutely disagree with everything Tariq Nasheed says about Africans and the conversations he has degrading them. You’re still an FBA if your lineage goes back to that group.

As someone who has listened to and supported Tariq since 2007 when I was a freshman in college at FIU (South Florida), I agree with some of the shht he says bc it is rooted in truth. But I’ve also experienced Black ppl of all backgrounds live in communities and fukk wit each other.

And I don’t care for what he’s doing right now. The tether jokes and all that was funny a few years ago. No it doesnt work that way. Right now FBA is just a group of black people with ideolgies and beliefs. Just like people who wanted us to call ourselves "African American" was just a group of people at one point. They made it easier to accept by not attaching a bunch of belief systems to the proposed name change. Which is what i said Tariq shouldve done. The lineage shouldve been seperated from the beliefs.
