All of the phrases & terms used come from Tariq Nasheed; "Delineate", "Tether", "Lineage", "Fleeing". He invented the term FBA, he got the trademark FBA. If you disagree with them(cult members) over anything, they start looking at your background so they can claim you a tether :mjlol: So now you can only view Black American History through the lens of Tariq Nasheed :stopitslime:..

I was arguing with an FBA cult member the other day, saying "we never came from West Africa, we've always been in America, we don't even look like them" . I'm not denying there are aboriginal dark skinned people of the Americas but that argument "we don't even look like them" is weak. This should be basic knowledge, Black Americans are not going to look like a modern day Nigerian or Senegalese, who are more homogeneous. After 400 of mixing, from slaves from many different West African tribes, Native Americans(Mongoloid), Europeans. Your obviously not going to look like modern day Africans. But he was hell bent on saying we not from Africa and have no connection to it :dahell:. Tariq Nasheed got himself a cult :wow:

people were talking about lineage and the specificity of native Black Americans on thecoli before Tariq even brought it up :unimpressed:
Hell people were doing that before the internet -- and yet the narrative remains that NOW people are "finally" doing it. Brehs talk like it's The Great Awakening out here but people BEEN understood that we're a unique lineage??? If that's the case then what the hell is actually "happening"? Its those kinda logical circles that cause folks to make 'cult' accusations.

For ex: A few weeks back it was "progress" because ABC News did a segment on Black History, during Black History month. That's standard news coverage in February and countless other stories were aired, across the country, all month.... It was progress because they added Foundational to the graphic. A Black American man was being highlighted for his contribution but the delineation and recognition of lineage didn't occur until the acronym was buzzed

People who don't even fukk with Tariq use FBA now
the problem for the anti-FBA crowd is there is simply too much evidence of non-fba blacks shytting on us, it validates everything about the concept of FBA. Basically non-FBA people make it too easy for Tariq to grift and even ppl who don't know about or fukk with him have to sit back and go :jbhmm: damn they really do be talking crazy
These are conversations that been going on before Tariq was even on this tip. ie: why all the black actors getting roles from Britain + that whole thing about who really started hip hop
They not gas lighting or babbling their way out of the disrespect. We see right through that shyt now.

That’s the only part that I can’t rock with

It’s nothing wrong with celebrating your “tribe” lack of a better term

It’s the orange loving ones I can’t respect

Being from Brooklyn in the 90’s we all was cool with all kinds of black people

I didn’t notice a divide until the army

It’s blk people in the south that never came across a carribian blk or a African

That was mind blowing to me

Yeah there was a time I actually thought maybe the FBA stuff would be something I could rock with.

Unfortunately it got co-opted at some point by
full
s that just want to depress black voter turnout

They'll just tell you its a lineage, cause apparently nobody knew we were a lineage before acronyms came along.

Carter G Woodson created Black History Week (Month). Juneteenth has been celebrated over 160 years. There's HBCUs across the country, we have our national anthem.

But we never understood the fact that we're a lineage until ADOS/FBA :lawd: Everything prior was flat blackness and kente cloths

nah …. your being disingenuous

because everybody knew black was Black American

which was the result of Melania immigrants co-oping our name and identity for their own profits

so yes, there was a need for us to identify ourselves differently to separate and divide and that’s what delineation is all about

I was verbalizing the narrative. Everybody knew Black was Black American & yet somehow, the constant refrain is how NOW we're finally ____ _____ ____ our lineage. Tethers are just mad cause we're "finally" ____ ____ our lineage. Whether yall mean it or not, it implies that no one knew who the hell they were prior to any of this. That we never valued identity (even with some of the examples I gave) and that this is what value actually looks like in action... antagonizing the diaspora, tether songs and memes, trying to take acronyms mainstream, "choosing the couch", etc.

There's no thoughtfulness on relations, norms, customs, or any of the shyt that actually underpins a lineage. There's not even an honest recognition of American history. The Homestead Acts provided nearly 2 million European Americans with millions of acres of land. Fast forward nearly a century and under Jim Crow, German POWs had more agency than our elders and ancestors. And all the while, Black immigration was sealed shut. So why is our identity centered so much on the fact that were NOT african or caribbean? How does all this talk about acronyms and delineation address any of that? The vast majority arrived in the past 60 years but our lineage and its history here started way before that

Fba is a lineage

It represents people who can trace they ancestors 400 years in North America.

Rather than saying generic terms like "black" or "African American"

We say fba to represent that specific group of black Americans
You can call ados, fba, Black American, African American, negro, colored, Freedman, native black, etc a lineage.

FBA as far as the supporters tend to be xenophobic and hate drives their content and they really get a hard on when generalizing while hate being generalized.
