While I retain that Ironman is Ghost's best instrumentally, BW is Ghost's best lyrically and SC is Ghost's best overall, Fishscale/More Fish sessions cement the synthesis of all those previous styles coexisting on one project. They show the depth and breadth of Ghostface and, while it doesn't hit the highs of previous albums, it is bumping front to back.

Yes, definitely. Production by Dilla, MF DOOM, Pete Rock and Just Blaze. With tracks like Shakey Dog, The Champ, R.A.G.U., Underwater, Jelly Fish, 9 Milli Bros., Barbershop, Whip You With A Strap, etc. How can it not be a classic?

Album did 110,000 first week without much promo. I don't think they even dropped a single after the release either. It was a weird time in music commercially. You still had some albums that had big sales but anything that wasn't treated like an event with a big rollout wasn't gonna sell much

yea I remember back like that getting a lot of airplay and the video showed on all those countdown shows....

ghost was really holding it down for the Wu brand as a whole at the time.

I think he may have even had issues with Def Jam during the time or something

By far... HHNF was never all that... never got the hype. It was decent, not some mind blowing classic.
