Floyd just posted stories from Dubai 15m ago. Looks like he chilling but wonder why he hasn't just come out and dismissed these claims. I guess technically he could be in the country in luxury hotels but still have his passport confiscated until this issue is resolved (do you even need passports for private jets?)

Tbh I really don’t understand what’s fun about it. It’s a strict religious country. Only tourists can drink in certain places. Can’t do drugs. Like how’s this better than just going to Vegas, Miami, or Cabo/Cancun.
I suppose if you’re getting paid a huge bag I get it but even then if I’m Floyd Mayweather rich is it even worth it? Assuming he hasn’t spent the money which ppl do report.

Technically yes Dubai is known for holding peoples passports if you owe money and debts will keep it until its resolved. But that's highly doubtful they would do that for a guy like floyd due to his stature and the fact that he can pay off whatever he owes or was stolen in this case even if that was true. I've only heard of it happening to poorer folks who are working over there from other countries and get into debt.
My cousin went a few years ago and described it as Vegas with no casinos. There's a lot of fukkery going on there they just keep it under wraps, but yeah, it's very easy to get caught up out there. Not very high on my list of places to visit

I'm guessing if you're under any kind of duress at all, you probably don't want to throw the country under the bus.
Nor do you want to make it seem like everything is fine so people think it's all good and offer no help either.
if everything is great, then you'd probably see clarification people are bugging and address it.
Of course unless, this is all to promote something.
