2 chains would like to have a word with you
I meant people in the word. Future made it a hot phrase.
2 chains would like to have a word with you
do yall niccas even read threads?
we know it is old, but it is catching on in northern regions now.
philly niccas say that shyt all day now
just like they abused "where they do that at"

I started hearing my Lil Cuzz that's in atl say turn up a few years ago. Back when 2 chains was on his mixtape run. So the south been saying that shyt. People that just started listening to future last summer seems to think he the one that started it.
No one said he started it. He just made it a nationwide catch phrase.

no ... "Tun Up" is originally a jamaican slang stemming from early 2000's ... but yes recently "turn up" has originated .. but still pay homage to the dancehall artists thats been using it for ever which many of these hip hop rappers copy their whole style/swag
It didn't get big til Wiz started using it. Then Future made it explode into the social media mantra that it's become.
it wuz an LA phrase that came out around mid 2000s (05) during tha jerk movement
ATL later adapted it in tha late 2000s and changed it from turnt up to "turn up"

wrong, turn up and that jamaican shyt aint got shyt to do with each other
wrong, wiz didn't start shyt and he's a fakkit from pittsburgh so don't even bring him up
none of this is true, my nikka you could be in a thread about philly cheesesteaks and make it seem like they originated in california
how hard is it for nikkas to just admit that atlanta been running the swag/slang/music game for the past 2 decades
nikkas been saying turnt up down here since i was in middle school...after a fight nikkas would be in the hallways like "damn yall aint see ol boy get on that mans head, that nikka was turnt up"
i have heard cali nikkas say it, but only after it had been a trend down here for years
"turn down for what" is just an extension of turn up, who gives a shyt who said it first...anybody going around yelling that out is a cornball anyway
turn up has almost run its course anyway, real nikkas finna bring back that T-Pain swag...we back to goin digital this summer![]()

I wuz saying turnt up constantly, y'all Atlanta nikkaz never said it once during that time period, y'all started when future, Jeezy and them jumped on it recentlyTurnt:A state of altered consciousness induced by alcohol or narcotics, also being happy and excited and energetic! And Or Having Fun Verb.
The Term Started In Los Angeles,California in late 2007
Show me a song from Atlanta that was saying turnt up prior to late 2000s
I've watched the word progress when it got popular in LA mid 2000s , no other region wuz saying it, then a few years later Atlanta hops on it with roscoe dash gettin Mohawks like LA and saying turnt up etc all the shyt from the jerk movement
I ain't bout to argue bout a word though
Edit* even onI wuz saying turnt up constantly, y'all Atlanta nikkaz never said it once during that time period, y'all started when future, Jeezy and them jumped on it recently
