Most people never get symptoms and the ones that do might have one break mild to sever break out in their life time. Some may get them a couple times a year. Dealing with the shame and social stigma seems to be way worse than the actual disease for people.

i thought it was lip herpes that almost everyone has, not genital herpes

Same virus, different location.

You'll get it even with condom . And wym scare?

Condoms might reduce the risk but they can't really protect you from it because it's a skin to skin disease. You probably got HSV1 getting a kiss from one of your relatives as a kid at some point.

So the question that beg to be asked can you have sex with a woman with herpes and NOT get it under any corcumstance. Serious answers only please.

The virus can shed whether there's a break out or not but in general, as long as she avoids having sex during one, there's about a 5-10% chance of passing the virus on within the first year of infection. That number decreases every year after that.

U can get it from skin to skin but it thrives in mucous membranes. Your lips and the head of the penis, if u wear a condom u are not going to get herpes, if u do some research u will see it only on the head of the penis.
Lies lol

And mucous membranes are in multiple areas of the body.

It's harder for men to get herpes from a woman.

Easier for woman to get it from men.

Dude.....do to the CDC website or something. Talk to your doctor.

It's so common that it isn't part of the regular STDs testing panel.

And it's hard to detect anyways unless you have an actual outbreak.

Mad people on here are uneducated and little kids.

According to statistics....you more than likely have it.

Slate’s Use of Your Data

It has nothing to do with cleanliness. HSV-1 is globlal, a little more than half the population has it. Idc honestly, a little too late to really fret about anything, especially with a lot of simps on here talking about how they'd eat the ass of their favorite pornstar.

THIS IS NOT GENITAL HERPES.
THIS IS THE ABILITY TO CATCH A COLD SORE.

PLEASE STOP POSTING THIS shyt.

I'm confused. What the fukk is the truth!!!! :damn:

If you have it and your outbreaks are just bumps, consider yourself lucky. Some people have severe outbreaks where the bumps flare up and burst turning into itchy sores with pus:scust:

Having an itchy sore that you can't even scratch with a fever to that lingers everytime you have a major outbreak...does that sound like just bumps to you? :usure:

Speak on it

Ocular herpes can be caught easier than genital Herpes. If you enter in contact with the skin or fluids of a person with the HSV-1 virus in an active state, you're at risk of catching it. However, the transmission of the virus from one eye to another is rare.

HSV infection of the deeper, middle layers of the cornea, known as the stroma, can cause severe damage leading to vision loss and blindness. [...] It’s estimated that up to 90 percent of adults have been exposed to HSV by the age of 50.

Estimates vary, but approximately 20,000 new cases of eye herpes are diagnosed every year in the United States. Including recurrences, the total number of annual infectious episodes is 48,000. Eye herpes is slightly more common in men than in women.
