Afflalo and Brewer are about as good as their gonna get...they will play hard every play and make the hustle plays because they are ROLE PLAYERS...

To get the most talent out of talented players such as JR and Mcgee you must show confidence in them and make them learn when they make mistakes...not just send them to the bench or focus on what they don't do well...

Breh Mark Jackson aint outcoaching shyt. The Warriors literally had one of the best shooting games ever. That shyt aint gonna happen every game. Karl does need to tell them to stop shooting so many damn 3's and attack the damn basket.

Fact is, putting the ball in Andre Miller's hands so much is a double-edged sword. He can make plays with his "old man game" but when he's off, he still likes to force shyt and it hurts the team. Lawson still defers to Miller sometimes, which isn't good. They get into these spurts where Miller brings the ball up the court and Lawson just stands to the side, that shyt just can't happen. Karl needs to let Lawson do his without letting Miller get in the way.

I'm sorry, but using JR Smiff as the main reason why Karl is a bad coach.


JR arguably still had his best season under Karl. I'd take 15 points in 27 MPG on 45% FG and 40% 3PT (08-09) over 18 points in 34MPG on 42% FG and 36% 3PT. (this season).

JR did not morph into a franchise player under Woodson. he's still a glorified role player that for a variety of reasons (contract year, NY media scrutiny, getting old) toned down the hoodratness and started taking basketball a little more seriously. you can argue Karl held him back, but you could also argue if it weren't for Karl and his tough love approach, JR would have fizzled out of the league a long time ago.

Ok ok I'm going to stop you now you don't watch that many Knicks games so stop it . He's more consistent and much more complete player . He turned into a starting caliber player as opposed to with Karl . He shot a similar fg % with the most shots of his career .

Ok ok I'm going to stop you now you don't watch that many Knicks games so stop it . He's more consistent and much more complete player . He turned into a starting caliber player as opposed to with Karl . He shot a similar fg % with the most shots of his career .

JR played under control/consistently for long stretches in the 08-09 season. his improved play was a major reason why were contenders in the first place.
