As selfish as it may sound I can't help what happens to other people. I can only attest to what I've been through and witnessed. I CAN be the best me and try to reach as many people as I can personally.

I don't claim to know it all nor am I trying to make anyone believe what I believe however what I DO know is that showing me some random picture of a starving child (that I will indeed pray for) won't make me believe any less than it will make you believe more....

But I don't think prayer saw you through anything. I believe you were blessed because it was the right time for your blessing. I don't believe you can ask for a blessing. That's just me tho

Yeah...I agree for the most part.
When I say I pray its not just "asking for things". The majority of my prayers are me thanking God for the simple things. For every problem that I have I know there is someone out there who is praying for What I've been blessed with. Yes I do ask God for increase, for understanding, for guidance, to protect me and my family from things we can and can't see, but I also thank him for protection, for the financial and mental state he's placed me and my loved ones in, for protecting us and seeing us through when we saw no refuge from the storm.

For everything I pray for I'm also giving thanks for....

When I say I pray its not just "asking for things". The majority of my prayers are me thanking God for the simple things.
