Is God selfish? How come He demands constant praise and worship while not doing anything for us

"God is love" yet he continually needs his ego stroked. to the point he supposedly made a bet with one of his former weed carriers that will cause billions of souls to perish when he could solve the whole thing in an instance if he wanted to
shyt makes zero sense :mjlol:
oh but that's only because god is so infinitely wise i will never understood this 5000+ yr narcissistic ass dikk measuring contest between him and satan :dwillhuh:

You don't have to thank/praise/worship God, but once you realize the tremendous sacrifice He made and the great love He has for you, that is when perspectives change (at least for me it did).

Say you were dying and needed a heart transplant right away and you had a loving relative who was willing to give you theirs - even if it meant they would die - because they loved you so much. Would you in that scenario be grateful to them?

We are taught to be Christian because we are black and our parent's happened to fukk in America. If they fukked and made us in another country we would be following some other made up bullshyt. That's pretty much the end of it

It ain’t a big deal or because or being combative, but this is facts. The simple fact that ppl won’t even acknowledge this is concerning

You got people ready to damn near blow hands over what they believe but if they was born in a different country they’d have an completely different set of beliefs

Based on this post I would say God is you. You are god.
You are just in a state of introspection when in prayer really.
You are talking to yourself.

A wise man once said, I used to pray every night until I realized I was praying to myself.

Well my opinion is that God is divine and perfect and humans like me are not.

I can try to reflect God's image (in much the same way your little child might reflect you but is not actually you and is not actually as wise or as strong/powerful as you) but still I come up far short because I am not divine.

To keep it real, I am pretty selfish. I am working on that but I can be kind of a brat (y'all can't believe it, right lol :troll: )

And so when I pray, I am glad I am praying to a divine God who has my best interests at heart. If I were just introspectively praying to myself - because of my bratty selfish nature - my motives for wanting things would be wrong and would cause me great harm.

For example, I used to pray when I was younger that I would win the lottery. I never did but if I had, I can admit that back then I wouldn't have given any to people in real need, I would have spent it all on clothes and jewelry.

This is why (to me) understanding the difference between praying to someone who is divine as opposed to human is so important. It says in the Bible that our human hearts are deceitful. (Jeremiah 17:9) We can feel right about the wrong thing.

People don't want to think they have been lied to. It's easier to believe in that things happen because of God or that there is an afterlife than things just happen and that when we and our loved ones die that is it. Its human nature to desire something else that why we came up with gods in the first place.

God woke you up what you talking about :russ: You been living rent free in God’s property for decades. The ultimate big homie could’ve been evicted you outta here. All he asks for is ten percent and a little acknowledgement and you can’t even do that :hhh:

Interesting point but I think you could argue that it's much easier NOT to believe in an afterlife/God because
then you can live life with fewer "rules" or limitations. And then you can debunk the complexity of this world by simplifying your belief system and not believing in anything at all or not caring about what happens after you die or believing that nothing happens at all. That's the easy way.

And a lot of people don't understand that you can actually feel God's presence...His love, His comfort, His strength. He can give you that encouragement, those coping skills, that warmth in your spirit at both your higgest and lowest moments. Even though we cannot see the wind, we can still feel it. Same way with God. And He very much will communicate to you if you ask Him to. His spirit can live on the inside of you and can communicate directly with you giving you forewarning about certain things, guidance about certain things, comfort and companionship.

I do know lot of people have trouble reconciling that there is a good, loving God who allows evil. And a lot of people don't/won't accept that there could be an afterlife/eternal life. I also think a lot of people won't accept what they cannot understand.

But for me personally, I don't require fully understanding God to believe and trust in Him. This seems counterintuitive but it's what happens when you build up a good relationship with someone you have a loving relationship with. Like if you have a good parent or grandparent that you've built a good relationship with then you inherently trust them. You don't have to understand everything about them to know they love you and are looking out for you. Same way with God. But a lot of people don't want to try Him. I say at least try and invite Him in and if it doesn't work out than so be it. But He wants a relationship with us. He loves us and has sacrificed His own life for us. Believing in Him and building up a relationship with Him will be the best decision you ever make. It's not about religion, it's about relationship.

You're trying to get what God has offered you freely through Himself. You don't have to try to get to the Tree of Life Satan's way. You can do that through faith in God. Gene manipulation, brain chips, transhumanism is a lie. That's what the world is going to try to sell you to become a god. That's not going to work.
