I've been reading a lot about these drug resistant strains of super bugs where antibotics don't work to kill infections. And it's only getting worse in this country.

I keep reading about Gronk's infection keep coming back over and over again. I'm now wondering if this is a case of one of those drug resistant strains of infection he's dealing with.

LOL...I'm being serious though. This shyt is about to be a major issue in this country. I actually met a dude this weekend who played for Davidson in NC where 11 players on his team years ago all got some sort of staph type infection. shyt is crazy man....

Hate to sound like an old white journalist but its also hard for the body to recover when ur on heavy antibiotics and still out partying all the time. He needs to just sit his ass at home from now until the season starts

Unfortunately, you sound like a old white uninformed cliched journalist.

More people in the US have died from drug resistant infections than from AIDS last year. Has nothing to do with partying.

It is troublesome to think he broke his forearm on a random extra point play, gets a plate put in......tries to play again, lands on the same spot, not that hard, breaks again, then just keeps getting infected.

What a literal bad break for this guy. Even if he wasn't on my team I'd still like watching him play. Its a shame and I hope this thing gets under control.

They've had reports that if we don't get new antibiotics on the market, some routine procedures could not be worth the infection risk.

Man.....antibiotics are being overfed to animals in the meat industry which is leading to these drug resistant strains of infections we're seeing now.

In the future, it may be possible that cats could die from something as small as a dental procedure. :to:

No doubt, and there are whole articles written on the lack of money spent on developing new antibiotics form the major drug industries. Their is a gap right now between how fast super resistant bugs are coming on, and how long it will be until they develop new ones.

The worst part is, you don't have to be overusing antibiotics for it to affect you. That blows for someone like me who rarely takes them unless fully needed. shyt won't matter. :snoop:
