Unfortunately, you sound like a old white uninformed cliched journalist.

More people in the US have died from drug resistant infections than from AIDS last year. Has nothing to do with partying.

U dont know for a fact he has this so called superbug in the first place....antibiotic resistant infections are a problem but its when the patient has a lot of other issues and their immune system is weak. For it to affect a perfectly healthy person like that is extremely rare. Whats more likely? That a previously 100% healthy athlete who's not immunocompromized caught a rare superbug in his arm? Or that he's doin too much and not allowing his body to heal properly? Sorry but I choose option 2

I don't know, but I also know that cliches by old white journalists rarely have any investigation tied to them.

A previously 100% healthy individual doesn't make you any more immune to the rash of superbug infections that are threatening this country. This is major health issue that effects everyone. Being an athlete doesn't make one immune to it.

I most certainly don't hear old white journalists daring to delve into things beyond sounding alike and feeding a dumb ass public things that "sound right." I"m talking about a nationwide threat, not some "he's partying too much" cliche. I find cliches extremely lazy and looking at the history of infections as of late and many who have been hurt by this (met a girl who dropped out of Columbia for a year to take care of her athlete husband that caught a bug resistant infection with his teammates), this is a major public health threat.

Moving past the whole cliche thing Im perfectly willing to admit Im wrong if it comes out he does have a bug. But I also know for a fact its very easy to get a post op infection if u dont take care of your body and once u get that first infection it can go dowhill from there. I get what ur saying but I just dunno if I agree that it applies in this particular case

He's probably not far from the truth though. If drugs do not stop the infection, then your body has to do it.

fukking around with Bibi Jones and now he got the Monster. TDs to STDs, damn shame.

I chuckled. :manny:

I do hope he gets better though. He's an exciting player to watch even if he is styling on my team twice a year. :sadcam:

As far as superbugs go, I'm hearing more and more about drug resistant bacteria. I hope this doesn't become a bigger problem. Can you imagine cats dying from skinned knees and the like? :merchant:

Man.....antibiotics are being overfed to animals in the meat industry which is leading to these drug resistant strains of infections we're seeing now.

In the future, it may be possible that cats could die from something as small as a dental procedure. :to:

Bro...one of my homies died in the dentist chair.

He was 6'3" 268 lbs...still holds our HS sack record, picture of health...he had a reaction to the anesthesia. He was 23.

Wow....

shyt is crazy right now. I just listened to a podcast where a hospital had to change all of their plumbing because the drug resistant bacteria was living in them. :to:

I hear you breh. This shyt pisses me off. Our politicians make a spectacle of grown ball players taking drugs with very little negative side effects to enhance their performance (miss me with all the "Steroids are so bad!" brain washing)

Meanwhile the USDA lets meat producers force feed live-stock antibiotics massively reducing their effectiveness and our politicians are

"Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt"

It used to be that as new viral and bacterial strains came along, they would kill a portion of the population. The ones that were immune would survive and pass on those genes.

The advent of modern medicine means that the virus or bacteria will evolve whereas humans remain at an evolutionary standstill. So we get diseases that are resistant to everything and humans with immune systems that aren't programmed to fight these things.

THe point of this post is simple. WE ARE DOOMED> :demonic:
