2017, where a woman cooking is seen a negative?:dahell:

I dont think there is a man alive who wants a woman that doesn't know how to cook

I honestly don't think I live in the same universe as some of ya'll sometimes. :snoop:
There's no way you're this dense, you're obviously trolling :mjlol:

I personally think some of the best cooks are men

I do believe in gender roles but cooking for the family is not something I look at as a gender role

The Radical feminists are what fukked up the game:francis:

I consider myself a feminist. I still cook for my family every single day.

Sista these folks crazy. I know plenty of women that used their ability to cook as a means to help catch (lack of a better word) their husbands.

Same with men catching women because they could work on cars.

One of my home girls just dumped her boyfriend over similar shyt. This fool refuses to do any work with his hands. My home girl car got a flat and she called her boyfriend to see if he could fix the flat. This fool tells her he doesn't know how to fix a flat then proceeds to ask her can she call one of her friends to fix the flat for her.

This dude had the nerve to not try to fix the flat, didn't get off his ass to find someone who could and then had the nerve to tell her to call someone.

I don't blame her for dumping his ass over that shyt either.

Yeah it really had a positive impact on my life. Lost of invaluable lessons

You're completely correct, and therein lies the problem. I understand what @The5thLetter is saying 100%, and even she agrees that regardless of social context, these are still good life to skills have (albeit the way the father went about it seems troll-like).

But there is a growing segment of men and women who want to rebel against these ideas so much that they basically cut off their nose to spite their face. They say, "I'm not going to learn how to cook because that's sexist" or "Just because i'm a guy, that doesn't mean I should hold the door, or fix the flat, or be the one checks for intruders"

They're so offended at the idea that they end up making themselves less marketable to others by avoiding learning basic life skills.

My sister makes a quartermillion a year, has a doctorate, owns her own clinic, and can't cook worth shyt. And the reason she can't cook worth shyt is because she thinks that its sexist for her to be a good cook.

I swear we have this debate every holiday. :snoop:

Thing is man even gay folks who are couples usually have gender roles. The two gay women I know who are a couple guess what. One takes the gender role of a wife and the other one takes the gender role of a man when it comes to house duties.

We also know couples that have divorced because the husband wasn't a protector / provider and the wife didn't take care of the children and cook.

Can't speak for your sister but these folks who are so anti gender roles kill me. They the same ones who will get fake asses, hair, breast (wear certain outfits) to catch men. Or buy cars, wear certain clothes and work out to catch women. But that shyt all good.

But ask them fools to cook or work with they hands to catch certain women and men and they start bytching.

The most funny shyt about this is that they are usually young and change that toon when they are 35 plus and ready to settle down. Then all of a sudden they asking they mom and dad how to cook or fix a car cause they got a certain special someone they want to make a commitment to.

I'm glad you see this for what this is. Everyone is trying so hard to pretend that these roles dont exist but let you enter a relationship with someone and try to ignore all of these rolls and see what happens.

-How many women out there want to be with a man who demands to be proposed to demands to have her buy the ring
-How many women want to be with a man who walks behind her on the street and follows her lead
-How many women want to be with a man who when its 3am and you here a noise, he cowers under the sheets and says "babe go check it out"
-How many women want to be with a man who has no plans or ambitions on how to build up or take care of his family.

Once again, as i said earlier, i'm not saying that everyone has to follow these to a tee for their relationship to work. If these rolls seem suffocating and limiting to you, just ignore them and find someone who doesn't care about them the same way you dont.:yeshrug:

But If I'm looking for a woman who does not expect me to fill the traditional roles of a man... well i have a long search ahead of me. :francis:
