By not giving them proper access to healthcare at a younger age, we are cutting off a lot of potential military members.

The bolded says it all!
She just wants to expand the military that dumb bytch.
If I was there I'd tell her she is an idiot.
How instead of funding care for future soldiers how about not starting or continuing these unsustainable wars and sending these soldiers to die?

Let's be real, does the U.S. really need an increase of future military members?

The U.S. BY FAR spends the most in military spending, and has global military presence in way too many countries.
And AFTER this the Senate just passed a $700,000,000,000.00 defense bill to increase the military even more.
And over 85% of democrats voted in favor of that bill.

What future soldiers? We need to REMOVE money going towards soldiers and military(not a healthcare thing or way) not increase.

So i guess in a perfect capitalistic system/society a ceo making $20 plus millions a year with stock options & a $50 million bonus is fiscally good . A doctor /researcher making unlimitted somes of money & pharmaceutical companies charging what the market can barely afford is good for walls street bottom line. Let's keep the minimum wage low because it's bad for businesses. Small business owners should have their yachts / second mansions & a well stocked piggy bank for their extracurricular activities .

Everyone should be able to have health care if you limit or get rid of capitalism

Is capitalism the problem or corporate welfare? Because at least with capitalism, if it was properly being practiced, there would be competitive healthcare markets all across the country and not just little cabals in each state.

I would of loved to be a fly on the wall when the banking executives got together to discuss making a negro like me pay higher interest on loans .

Since we're on that point, do you think "banking black" at that time would have prevented that? Or it would have been just black bankers screwing us over?

I'd imagine the opposite argument could be made. The vast majority of military members aren't physical specimens.

I'd imagine keeping your population without extensive or universal health care would actually further incentivize joining and staying in the military because it provides you and your family access to many of your basic needs. If this sounds vaguely familiar it's the same argument for "good jobs with benefits."

Ill continue the discussion further if someone likes but that's the gist of it.
Great counter.

Only thing I would say is we could limit spending on those items if those people got proper healthcare at a younger age.

Also, can you really make that argument if you are a politician? We want people to be poor and desperate so they can join the military, thats why we dont want universal healthcare? That sounds dangerous.

the military has literally changed the direction of generations of black families. It has been many poor persons way towards upward mobility like no other.

The "great" thing about that argument is that they don't have to make it. People are already doing it. Plus, they are already copping to it. There's virtually nothing a politician has to do.

I don't pretend to have any knowledge of how or how much the military increased upward mobility for black folk. But from my understanding of the military quite a bit of indoctrination has to happen while in the military. Are we sure we want to support that? Indoctrination for mobility.
