This one of my favorite movies. I don't think it's underrated. It did pretty well in the theaters. Most people know about this movie. Val Kilmer was a machine :mjlol:

I loved the way the Don through that cac out the way when he quit to take the job. :dead: I felt him on that. Hate that he died. He ended up being the Allstate dude later on.:mjlol:

It seems to be fairly rated in general now.

It got snubbed by the Academy when it came out. It didn’t even get nominated for Best Sound. That’s one of the things that still stands out about the movie many years later.

considering the fact that it stars two white men who can barely talk, id say its quite overrated personally

I wish the 4k dynamic but it was just ok. The movie is the movie however. When you get to see the shootout after some years pass you’re still like holy shyt especially if you’re tv handles audio well or you have a sound bar

It’s a great movie

Saw the 30th anniverseray screening in LA last week, at the academy award theater/LACMA. Mann was there, and spoke for about 30 minutes. Seeing this in theaters, was a whole new feel for it. It felt like a 90 minute movie. It was so immersive and so tightly edited, I was stunned, seeing it on the big screen. My favorite movie of all time.
