It is just us or has hip-hop traveled back in time? With recent headlines of OutKast reconnecting, G-Unit reuniting, and J. Lo performing with Ja Rule; it's almost as if hip-hop has reverted back to the early 2000s. As much more has also went down like Jay Z connecting with Dame Dash late last year and talk circulating of Dipset releasing a comeback LP; it's hard not to wonder if one can soon expect sounds from 10 years ago to rearise. Check out a gallery of all the events that allude to this theory and decide for yourself if hip-hop is back in the early 2000's.

not even close.

hip hop in the early 00s actually had some talented artists even if the genre was starting to get watered down.

and hip hop actually mattered in the mainstream back then.. nowadays its nowhere to be found on the charts/radio/clubs

no, rap is back in the awful lull period before the newschool way of thought.
revolutionized rap, and helped to create actual quality in rap and strengthen the culture.

shyt is just like we back in the sugarhill records era, right after break'n came out and everyone had a ripoff of breaker's revenge.
like they had a portion of their shyt scored in breakin'.
