Yea but we have a lot more resources to deal with it now. We're also a lot safer from it. We got options now (for the most part; in the US at least)
Its deeper than that bruv.
People on the whole aren't dealing with it as the methods out there to address it are mostly ineffective. The rest of the luxury trappings and civilized image barely contains the chaos that seethes within most people. Its something I noticed back when road rage became a thing:
When do you remember Road Rage becoming a thing?
As per title. Think about it. Spin your mental rolodex back and recollect riding with your parents to bending corners in your own whip and see if you can pinpoint, with relative precision, when the shift kicked in from people just wheeling to becoming speeding demons.

As at one point it was just people playing the pavement that carried that aggression but then it slowly slipped out to the mainstream. Add in the dip of hormone levels between now and then along with different ways of venting and you'll start seeing the outline of bigger pic of human engineering.
The energy itself hasn't gone anywhere and is still running the show in most peoples heads.
