Is humanity crazy?

I'd say...

  • Insane crazy, driving Miss Daisy

  • Perfectly sane and logical

  • You're the one that ain't wrapped too tight

Yea but we have a lot more resources to deal with it now. We're also a lot safer from it. We got options now (for the most part; in the US at least)

Its deeper than that bruv.

People on the whole aren't dealing with it as the methods out there to address it are mostly ineffective. The rest of the luxury trappings and civilized image barely contains the chaos that seethes within most people. Its something I noticed back when road rage became a thing:

As at one point it was just people playing the pavement that carried that aggression but then it slowly slipped out to the mainstream. Add in the dip of hormone levels between now and then along with different ways of venting and you'll start seeing the outline of bigger pic of human engineering.

The energy itself hasn't gone anywhere and is still running the show in most peoples heads.

Oh I thought you meant like society as a whole.

Well yea there's been times where for sure I've lost my mind. I'm at PEACE grilling listening to music RN. Emotions and state of mind is fluid. The older and wiser I've become the stronger I've become in controlling my thoughts and emotions. Its a discipline.

When you're young you're more a victim of circumstances. If you're lucky you have the opportunity later in life to grow like I did.

Road rage is a mental health issue IMO.

That really does nail it. Its like I said in this thread:

The first 3 decades of spinning round the sun (cos mandem only has one born day) you are rolling on instinct. Full on autopilot really. After that the seed of wisdom that was nestled in the concrete rose to bloom and greet those who move beyond the surface and start reasoning. The question I couldn't help but ask, as I look around at a world filled with people living an extended adolescence as they never smelled the scent that Inner Sense brings, is why is it like this?

Most peoples inner realms are straight up chaos and wilder still is they accept this. Madness.

My thoughts are we're animals. The one thing that separates us is free will. We have to decide. Most of our impulses are primal. We have to make a conscious decision to do what is "right." that takes experience and discipline.

I really dont believe we have free will. We have the illusion of choice but thats all it is, a trick. Thats without even going into the science and research that aligns with my intuition because it was something that clicked, like that long line in Tetris. Very strange feeling but also one that melted a lot of blockages and created further space for reflection within.

To clarify:

I believe free will is something we might be able to develop but not all possess it. Thats what the instinct/reason thread was building toward. It certainly isn't standard equipment. In that respect people are eating from the fruit display bowl and believing the surface image as they sit there crunching the cognitive equivalent of plastic. An engineered imitation of awareness.

Its so counter intuitive that its genius and its not even hidden in the slightest, although talking about it can draw some interesting reactions from those who dwell on the surface of their consciousness. Imagine you handed someone who had been eating replica oranges his entire life a real one, fresh from the tree. One bite would be enough to prove it all isn't what he thinks. Or thought.

I really do wonder about this realm...

I can only speak for myself. But I make my own choices. I've been in the same situation twice. If I'm intoxicated I'm handling it differently because my free will is compromised.

Being twisted is another variable entirely. Imagine you have a rollercoaster that zips around its track as intended. Its been honed and calibrated to function as intended whilst generating safe thrills due to the mechanics and regulation of voltage. Now lets imagine we give it the neurological equivalent of sippy sippy and up the power tremendously.

Suddenly it is, quite literally, off the rails. It is flying though a space that it was never intended to visit or experience. What are the consequences?

Most people are running on rails.

100.

The meta I use is like there is a signal being broadcast but not everyone is decoding it the same way. Some people are listening to so much static they can't even hear the beat and thus to peep things like this is entirely beyond their frame of reference. Then there are those who are so in tune with the unfinite that they tote skills that seem like straight up science fiction.

Native American legends are full of this and there was one tale where they'd asked a chief to come in under some pretenses for a test and they were messing with him whilst he was waiting because they're so devilish. Long story longer the guy had such an acute and refined sense of hearing and all pervading sense of presence that he totally flipped the script on them and left them scratching their heads about what they'd just witnessed and their equipment registered as he strolled off with a grin.

Its a purple vs red thing as one can easily overpower the other but simply cannot resonate to a fraction of its innate state. Jealous ones envy...

Interestingly the natives also believe humanity is crazy but then what they've seen first hand probably stands a testament to this.

Do you ever look around at the world (on a large or small scale) and think that so much of what we accept as normal is actually screaming how insane the people living on this planet must be? You could quite literally point at almost any facet of society, be it personal, corporate, religious etc... and see this nuttiness writ large.

Is humanity crazy?
Not humanity, society.

Not humanity, society.

Semantics really as one begets the other and then is shaped by it. That said it is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a society profoundly sick and to do that one must be willing to question their investment in concepts they were given and often hold as sacrosanct.

People cant even discuss a simple thing without getting all up in their feelings or truly see from anothers lens as they are so locked in. Rail people, hence no free will for them. Just an off brand equivalent.
