Mullumbimby isn't exactly Redfern or New Orleans. it only has a population of 3000 or so i doubt the crime rate is very high, i've driven through it and it's juts a hole in the ground shytty country town. even if she did leave at 16 & go to USA with no family or friends i'm sure she had some kind of money so it's not like she slept on the streets until she could suck & fukk her way into someones home. i've seen that pop video too so she obviously got picked up early by someone and tried that Britney Spears lane and it didn't work.

OP is talking about her way of life.

She came here white and lived comfortably thanks to white supremacy until she got helped by TI into stardom while supported by other rappers as well.

That isnt no struggle. :comeon:

How the fukk you know were you there :ohhh:

You nikkas & your slave mentality :what:

And Ti didn't do shyt but drop a bag of money & co sign her:childplease:

It's a shame. I really hate when people talk about having money or coming from the suburbs. SO what if she had money. money is not putting in the work to generate a following. That woman knows yall gonna talk abou ther and still goes out everyday despite the boos.

That's why i laugh at ppl who talk about drake. Drake's supposedly this p*ssyfied fake nikka, whos in the public eye at all times. Cats on here can stand to talk in a group of ppl out of anxiety, nevermid perform on stage.
Drake was a child actor and came from privilege. Yeah he's in the public eye cuz he's used to it. Some cats don't seem to understand the fact that people like Drake, Iggy, and some others were groomed into their position in life. Yall wanna make it seem like they grinded their way to top, when in fact as people mentioned earlier, their path was laid out. Yeah they do some work, but they've had a team, money, and connections backing them from day one. If hard work alone was how you end up in their position, then explain the millions of talented people out there grinding as hard, if not harder yet haven't blown up and probably never will? It's like they didn't work to get put on, they got put on and then put in the work to stay there. A lot of people can't even get on.

...and this without even bringing in the fact that Iggy benefits from white privilege and supremacy. She isn't where she is cuz she works hard or has any talent, she's where she is cuz she's marketable, pretty(subjective:mjpls:) blonde white girl who can rap and has sex appeal. If she wasn't marketable, she wouldn't be as big as she is regardless of how hard she works. She isn't an artist, she's a manufactured product sold to the masses.

Act like the entertainment industry game isn't rigged brehs.

Matter fact, this thread sounds like that bullshyt mentality rich people try to feed to average joes talking bout "If you work hard enough, you'll be rich like me!" If that were the case, there would be hella more rich, successful people.

There are millions upon millions of people aggressively going after goals, a lot reach them depending upon how realistic the goals are. A lot have the potential to at least end up living somewhat comfortably, while very few have the potential to be rich or wealthy, cuz most who are rich had already inherited some sort of wealth within their family or circle.

Definitely. As someone mentioned earlier, her family has money, and that opens a lot of doors in this industry. She raps, but she's pretty much still a pop artist, and like many other pre manufactured "artists" that come out of the machine, there's always a team behind them. These artists are a product, and the team helps push it.

well that's interesting.

i wondefr is she even genuinely wanted to rap in the begining, or if she was suggested to do it because she its a certain mold/cniche

I think she was groomed to be a rapper. She started out pop, didn't work out so they reinvented her as a rap artist. Katy Perry did the same shyt cuz she started out gospel then later became pop.
