I'm referring to slang, facial expressions, etc. Maybe using some slang he uses you never did before you met him. Maybe you like a sports team he likes now. I don't mean imitating all of his habits.

I will dap you because I married into my current sports teams.
Wasn't till after marriage though.

Yeah, I was seeing this New York dude once and I started noticing myself using slang like, 'yo, you bugging', 'b', 'son' and all that other crap. After awhile, I realized I had to stop talking like that because it was coming off as forced especially with my Canadian suburban voice. Kind of like how Drake comes off when he starts gangster rapping.
