Nah, that music from 1998-2005 will probably be my most revered time period, middle school/high school...probably a majority of my favorite songs and albums are from then, the R&b is like my childhood in audio form, i will never not love songs like 'So Anxious', 'Same Ol G', cds like 'Enter the Dru', 'J.E Heartbreak'...early 2000s...for us, of that age, even the bad songs or the forgettable ones will always be meaningful...

me too breh :to: what year were u born

I also listen to pre-2005 music 90% of the time as well. Most of the new shyt from the past few years all sound the same to me and I just cant listen to a majority of it. Especially commercial R&B which is 99% trash these days. Some tunes I was just bumping this morning...

that shyt was GARBAGE back then and still is now. folks stay trying to rewrite history. just because it's considered old now doesn't change squat.

exactly.

half of the songs posted were wack back then and theyre just as wack now.

just because a certain song was playing in the background when you got your 1st hug, doesnt mean that the song is any good.

That Baby Bash has to be a guilty pleasure of mine, that shyt RULED San Diego radio in 2003, 'What The Hook Gon Be', 'Hotel', too many, 'Snake', 'Baby Boy'....

Cosign. Almost everyone was eating and had good music out in 2003. I remember Sheek-Mighty D-Block, Monica-So Gone, Dipset Anthem, Pharell/Jay-Z Frontin', Step In The Name of Love, 50 Cent P.I.M.P., DMX Where Da Hood At, Jaheim Put That Woman First etc. and various other singles made that year hot.

85.

I was like 13 when 'Hard Knock Life' came out, and 'Money Ain't a Thang' was everywhere, 'Money Cash Hoes', then Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, 112, Tyrese, Ginuwine, I even had the Sisqo solo man....late 99, '4 Da Fam', Vol. 3', Puff Daddy 'Forever', Ice Cube... early 2000's....Beanie Sigel 'The Truth', Black Rob 'Dam Espacio', I was fiending for the Shyne album...2001 'The Blueprint', 'The Reason, Kiss Tha Game Goodbye...I miss those times. And the r&b/pop songs from the early 2000's, 'In Those Jeans', 'Slow Jamz', that Ludacris 'Splash Waterfalls', have some memories to that for sure, G-Unit, 'I Smell p*ssy', these two girls I knew LOVED that song, I was sick of it....I could just go on like this...theres a website that has the billboard hits for every year, I go on there every now and then, and pull out a few forgotten tracks, or just refresh my memory.

@ Dettol 'So Gone' is another one, and the Snoop/213 remix...think of the songs that used to get heavy airplay back then, 'Runnin', Big/Pac, the one with Em/Pac/Outlawz, 'One Day at a Time', 'Frontin' was my shyt that summer in 2003, the Lloyd Banks tape, 'Victory', 'Air You Out', all that shyt...winter 2003 was ill too, Obie Trice debut, Bleek third album, 'M.A.D.E', of course 'The Black Album'....too much music. It's overwhelming, I wrote a few hundred pages already about my life, esp. high school, I included all the music, I never want to forget like so many people do...
