I bought the PS4 and a Nintendo 3DS when they were new off Craigslist.

One I met near dudes apartment in Harlem, checked the box but couldn't really check if it worked worked fine and gifted it last year.

The 3DS I met a different person at a cafe for the transaction. Was also able to test it out before buying.

Either one could have gone left but thankfully no issues with either.

Naw. Buying second hand electronics, especially expensive ones, is a rookie mistake. You can prove that it turns on and can boot a game up and get a sale, but that don't mean it ain't gone cut off or overheat after 15 min. You could also potentially get roaches, bedbugs, etc from them

Just wait till restock or overpay for it. I don't have one yet either, but i be damned if i get a used one that ain't refurbished

They still probably finna rob u. They just place a lot more cash value on their safety and freedom. Which still is not a whole lot when u weigh any amount of cash against what they have to lose. Moral of the story is dealing with potentially unsavory people who dont even respect their own life or liberty is sadly the cost of doing business on craigslist. Its up to u to decide if second hand merchandise in God knows what condition is worth all of that mess.
