This has always been my question, especially at the start of outsourcing. If all the jobs go off shore because tis cheaper, what do you do to supplement the younger generations learnig/experience.AI is a very useful assistant for people who actually know what they are doing in the domain they are doing it in. Issue now is we need to rethink what an entry level developer is. A lot of the problems juniors would solve AI is doing it in seconds. But we need those junior level jobs becauss 10 years from now who will be the senior developers?
Companies are forcing everyone to use these coding tools rather than increase headcount. Doesn't matter if the AI tools work or not. The only headcount increases getting approved are for contract coders overseas or from Indian body shops. Not shocking that head of AI company predicts AI will take over![]()

Places I've worked nobody in management cares about missed deadlines, outages, security holes etc. Your bonus is tied to the stock price and/or earnings nothing else matters.Doesn't mean it isnt gonna crash on it's face eventually. Overseas Indians and AI do shoddy work and are unable to fully translate requirements to implementation properly.

You don't see how that's a ticking time bomb for most places?Places I've worked nobody in management cares about missed deadlines, outages, security holes etc. Your bonus is tied to the stock price and/or earnings nothing else matters.
