There is rarely "better"...only different. Thinking you're going to wait around for "better" is the reasoning of children who want choices with no consequences. They all have consequences. Assess the consequences you're prepared to deal with, make your choices and live your life.
And yes, refusing to make a choice is it's own choice, with it's own consequences.
She expects adversity and if she is a good woman she is prepared for it mentally. She will give you time and space to figure it out. Not forever but for a period of time. Don’t waste it.

Worth noting that most high income couples in America met in college and married either while in school or shortly after graduation. So they marry while building towards the six figure job and it allows you to get where you want faster. Pay off debts/loans after, first house faster, enrollment in that nice daycare faster, social club fee costs faster, etc. That's why your doctor is probably married to an attorney, your boss is probably married to an engineer, etc.
This is backwards as the only time a man knows if a woman desires him is when he has little or nothing. Worst time for a man to pick a woman is when he has everything.
