Nah. Thats accurate, I grow those peppers and have only eaten them straight a few times. You only need a piece the size of a clipped fingernail to alter the flavor of a whole bowl of chili. For people that aren't use to spicy food it'll make them feel like they're about to die because the amount of capsaicin makes the body think it's being attacked like how an allergic reaction affects the body. You really have to experience it though because the heat can't be explained but it's intense immediately and builds for about 30 minutes and doesn't go away for probably 3 hours. The only way I can describe it is when you drink something hot and burn your tongue but it's like you continue to drink and burn your tongue.
