Reserve the love you or luv you for my closest friends only And my parents, brothers. Even if it’s a “luv you” or “love you”. I make sure I tell my kids that I love them each night when I tuck them in for bed. My son is at the age where he gets weird with too much affection. Outside of that, I hate most people, I need my moments alone and I can’t be fake with people that I don’t care about. So if I tell close people that I love them - I really mean it and it’s deep feelings . I have some one on the coli that I can say that I love them for who they are as a person, their spirit, their mental and the bond that is developing.

If that happens then the friendship wasnt real to begin with. Who would throw away a genuine frienship over a word? A real friend would have just had a convo and asked them to stop saying it and they would understand and comply and never have the convo again. Since she insisted on saying it then it means she had no respect for his relationship, which leads me to think she was jealous and out to make the girlfriend feel some way or maybe secretly wanted dude.
Like I always say tho, aint no such thing as genuine female-male friendships. Those that survive do so because everyone involved fights hard to suppress their emotions.
