Sonic 2 was one of my favorite games ever ever but Crash 2 & 3 were dope. I think a lot of people put Mario over other platformers for nostalgia purposes more so than gameplay. Even the Donkey Kong Country games are better than Mario to me.

Yeah, it could be nostalgia but even to this day, it still has great game play and is just a great game altogether for me.

You know what, MAYBE Rayman.

That's the only other platforming franchise that has remained that consistent.
