Yeah, I know that shyt was unnecessary, but by then I'd had enough and that just slipped out.

That's real talk. Do you have any stories similar to this?

Yeah, a bunch...here's one

I was working a job where I was the Assistant Manager of one department.

Technically, I was doing a lot of the Manager's work because I knew how to do it better than him.
He was moved to my department when the original Manager of my department quit, because he had seniority.
Because I was making sure all the day-to-day stuff was running smoothly, he spent a lot of time out of the department.

This led to me taking late lunches, because I didn't like to go to lunch with things on my desk pending - we had a staff of
8, and if we didn't have things ready to roll when other folks got there for their shifts, they would get behind...I knew that,
because I had worked their shifts before, and I hated when people would do that. Sometimes, I would skip lunch all together.
I don't even think my Manager even noticed...until one day.

He came to where I was, and said "I didn't realize it was so late, are you ready to go to lunch?"
I said "I'm not going to lunch today."
"Why?"
"Because it's peak time, we still have a bunch to do, and I don't wanna leave it for the closers."
"But you gotta have lunch..."
"No I don't - I go without lunch all the time. I'll be fine..."

So, he went about his business with his hands on his hips.

Another day, I hadn't take a lunch yet (again, because we were busy).
A couple of folks from the mid-shift came in. When I was getting them caught up, one of them added:

"(Manager) told us to make sure you take your lunch..."

He came in the room a little bit later while they were still there, and I said "Hey, you got something you wanna say to me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Something you want to make sure I do?"
*sigh* "Look - you HAVE to go to lunch, what's wrong with that?"
"I'm a grown-ass man. You let me handle when i'll feed myself.
Besides, if I go eat before I finish all this, who's gonna do it? You?"

After that, he backed off. I found out from other folks that he didn't like to talk to me alone.
I didn't even mean for it to be like that, but I don't like when people go involving other people
in something between two people...

Impulsive people like that typically dont get hired at respectable establishments....do you "work" @ Blockbuster or something?

You both were in the wrong. But you should have been the bigger person pulled her aside and then talk to her. She needs to learn how to talk to people

You have to take a lunch if you are working over 6 hours. The company can get sued or fined from the government for not letting their employees take a lunch.

I'm familiar with that - I know that very well.

However:

- who was gonna disclose that information in the office? Not me...

- "letting" is different from me "declining" to do that.

- what that should've inspired him to do is pitch in a DO HIS JOB instead of leaving
it for me to do. But of course, that never occured to him...
