Is It Just Me Or Does It Seem Like Most People Can't Spell?

Dude I work with came to me because he was texting and someone sent a word he didn't know..He asked "What does this mean? S-W-E-A-T"

At this point I truly realized how stupid most people are.

5 years of autocorrect and spell check has ravished my spelling.

It's to the point that if I'm writing and not typing I'm mad paranoid I've spelled something incorrectly.

And my phone is super trash, most my post or text from my phone make me look mad uneducated. Thankfully my friends and fam know otherwise.

It got to a point that when I met a new broad and started texting her I would purposely misspell words just so she didn't think I was too smart to give the ass to because the broads usually didn't spell as good as I do.

I've noticed most people on social media can't spell for shyt aside from those on forums. I've noticed that most people that frequently posts on forums are usually good at spelling.

But the 1 thing I ponder, when I come across it, is if a person consistently reads/sees a word used in the proper context/spelled one way - Why does their brain not make the connection? Is it that hardwired...to be wrong?

If you don't read books and mainly converse via text with others on your same literacy level you're probably not going to see the proper way words are supposed to be spelled.
