thats dope makes sense because you genuinely love it.

to me those with starbucks, coffehouse cups on the way to work are just stunting and a silly stunt at that.

i am working in labour now, my peers would laugh if i showed up with a starbucks coffee knowing we're working like dogs. we bring a flask.
Starbucks coffee is strong as shyt breh

aight, you're overdoing it. coffee every day is technically one of those areas that adds up and you could save money making it at home, but so could all the people who buy lunch every day. convenience + access to more drinks than you can make at home >> *

there are a lot of great coffee houses/roasters, it's an easy thing to grab on the way to the office (and a great time waster in the morning, me and my coworker used to always bounce together and waste 30 mins of our morning getting coffee to avoid work) vs having time to drink it at home or trying to travel with it on public trans...etc.

and when has starbucks ever been a status symbol? how does one stunt with starbucks? starbucks is the mcdonald's of coffee, coffee aint a flex. only flex in coffee are coffee snobs who get real picky about the source of the beans, roast level and brew method.
Spend all your stock market profits at Starbucks brehettes…

but real talk look into an espresso machine. When you realize the only difference between an espresso ($5) vs a regular coffee ($2) is just pressure. The markup on these specialty coffees is ridiculous.

boutique coffee shops are a racket. There is a reason financial guys love using the example of Starbucks coffee pricing to promote a concept of saving

any premade good you get is a "racket", goods have to have margins. i don't buy coffee out every day given i have a grinder, buy fresh beans and am happy making cold brew or a pour over or french press at home, but when i want a fancier drink, i get one, $3-6 aint killing me, especially since i cook most my meals.

Ironically lobsters used to be food for the poor a couple centuries ago, since they were fishing so many of them. Rich people wouldn't touch them. No idea how its status changed.
I liked lobster and crabs a lot until I read that somewhere a while back. Plus someone called them the roaches of the sea and I looked at a lobster one day and all I could sea was a roach. Same goes for shrimp. Now the thought of eating is downright disgusting

If you’re from the south you grew up with fried whiting/catfish being on deck or somebody made tuna sandwiches or salmon croquettes if they fancy. If you’re from a coastal city you had more of a variety always on deck like crawfish, crab, clams & shrimp.
