Is it just me or has Damien Sandow been protected?

I cant agree with this because at one point i thought they were gonna bury Sandow. But i dont think that's happening but i dont think he is protected either. He takes many losses and a few countout ones too. But he still has got a chance to be at least a secondary star who can be a transitional champion. Im shocked that he hasnt had a title yet as far as IC or US title is concerned.
