as of right now, they dont have the star power to be putting these 2-3 cards show per month

and you gotta taken into consideration that (jsut to name a few

Tito Ortiz (retired),Chuck Lidell (retired),Mirko (retired)
Rampage,Matt Hughes,Forest, Shogun, wandy are all and reaching the ends of there career's

they havent really found the fighters yet to replace all of the names i just listed to carry the UFC brand

Most of these fighters aint charismatic enough and come across as too nice. Need more Sonnen esque antics from fighters.

I was actually scared for Sonnen's well-being after those Brazilian comments. But it would help to have some drama, but it shouldn't be forced.. I don't want UFC turning into a WWE/UFC hybrid.

Too many people in this thread talking about shyt that they have no business talking about.

But back on subject. Its a combination of oversaturation and not having headliners that they can market. Moreso the lack of starpower. Most of the champs have that "nice guy" aura about them. Its hard for them to market some of these guys, but i think their marketing dept is lacking in trying to build up some of their more exciting fighters

it was a good card but reports are that it had 2 million viewers, Chavez Jr's last fight on HBO, a premium channel, did 1.9 million viewers. when youre on FOX, a major basic channel available to everybody, and do 2 million, thats not a good look at all. The excuse is that they went against the olympics, the excuse last time was that it went against the opening of "The Avengers", i think in reality people just arent that interested.

Suspensions too: Overeem's on the verge of being one of their biggest superstars and got busted for pissing hot. Nick Diaz is still suspended.

PPV buyrates are down this year because their two biggest draws aren't fighting: GSP's injured and Brock went to the WWE

MMA was a way for white guys to be relevant and claim superiority, because boxing supposedly didn't incorporate all your limbs, and was less technical, because guys couldn't come at you many different ways Now that the low key truth has been shown, CACs losing interest. Who the f*ck really wants to watch dudes roll around on a mat for a half hour? Watch, if NASCAR drivers suddenly were 90% black, you would see a dramatic loss in interest overnight. But to have fallen off, you had to have been on top of something, MMA never fell off, because it wasn't on top of anything. UFC sucks, Pride F-1 better than UFC, f*ck I look like watching dudes dry hump each other until one surrenders to the other

Theres a reason so many black mma fighters talk like they been hangin out with brad n trevor. Its an expensive hobby that is not accessible to people who are poor. I pay 130 for access to bjj training 7 days a week. The average boxing/karate classes are not that expensie. Now, I am getting very high level training but still, once this begins to trickle into the hood, its over. I dont even think there are 20 thousand brazillian jiujitsu black belts on the planet. Still, the cream rises to the top. Once GSP goes night night mma fans are going to talk about how sour and weak all the divisions are. Mainly because they realize there is no one who can even come close to beating the champs.
