Is it just me or is there is something very "off" about Dave East's flow

Yea I think thats it, I came to that conclusion like 5 posts in, but it seems everybody ignored that

East should save his bars for his original compositions. But I can see why he is doing the remix and feature thing to keep his buzz up.

he's cool but he needs to be more creative lyrically and conceptually. other rappers have done what he doing 1000000x better

he has all the star intangibles but can he produce the music? all his "commercial" sounding songs are so gimmicky and try hard

10th grade is pretty late in life though, regardless I don't really hear a forced or fake NY accent. The average kid coming up in NY now sound more like East or a Rocky than a Jadakiss or Cam'ron who have more traditional brolic NY accents.

I don't know about blow but he can make some noise I like his chances compared to Ave...
-he's humble
-signed to Nas, co-signed by guys like Fabolous who hold mad weight in NY
-he can really spit
-seems to have good branding/marketing
-diverse, seen him do the boom bap beats, trap beats, smooth beats, R&B shyt, autotune on hooks and all that
-women actually like him
