It's interesting you said as an elite meal. Why did you use that specific term? Just curious , people commonly use food to determine class.

Spaghetti is seen as a snack.... like peanut butter and jelly.... or butter and toast.

Not high on the list of foods that I would offer a guest unless I'm making quick breakfast.

If we're eating dinner.... I'm gonna offer some rice, chicken, goat, pork, vegetables etc

Where you get Haitian spaghetti in Atlanta breh. Are you Haitian? Btw I don't mean nothing by that. Just I never got offered spaghetti with my Haitian ex or family. This shyt is mind blowing. I'm feeling some type of way
Your ex or her family never made you Haitian spaghetti? :dahell:

Haitians restaurants in Atlanta don’t make it, but I get it from moms house or my female cousins whenever I want it. They taught my current girl how to make it as well :win:

The other night I made the Haitian version of sofrito with cilantro based. I can't pronounce it properly or even type it but I made that shyt.
I got a pork shoulder in the fridge now. Bout to get to work and chop it down. Price per lb was great.

Nahh bro. Her family in Elmont and Queens never served me spaghetti. I was just eating everything similar to what I grew up with

They offered me Haitian macaroni and cheese but it wasn't the same I grew up with. But my ex knew that and was like don't judge, this how we make it. I eat everything so ik always happy, cuz I was taught never deny food. But I have had dominican spaghetti.

You ever had purple potato salad made with beets. I love it!!

Maybe they thought your pallet wouldn’t be able to handle our version of the spaghetti lol.

And of course I had the purple potato salad, I’m Haitian. I’ve had everything. When my girl had it for the first time, it turned her urine a pinkish color, she thought she was bleeding somewhere :russ:

It's about the sauce, a bad sauce will kill a meal. Italians spend time working on the sauce. I think Classico organic is about the best you can get in the grocery stores. It's been hard to get for some reason lately. I will throw some turkey or chicken sausage in it.
Classic. It's okay but its not the best.

The best sauce when you make it from home.
Trust. I didn't believe it until I made it, I'm a intermediate cook(I cook)
They put too much salt in the sauce. I like to micro manage my sauces.

How fo your makes it? I feel it's all about the sauce.
Its all about the sauce and the seasoning. Not to mention, having olive oil instead of vegatable oil because it adds more flavor.

And if I'm cooking meatballs I use fresh ground beef and then season the ground beef and roll the meatballs by hand.
