For me it seems to be one of the few holidays that hasn't changed. Premier League games in the morning before I grab some food, the cake, and gifts for the women in the family. Then it's NBA playoffs with a nice plate in the afternoon

I be forgetting it's Mother's Day. My mom lives 800 miles away and acts like she doesn't want anyone celebrating anything in her honor. Went to the gym today around noon and I'm like why are there only 10 people here.

Legit wish I had a better relationship with my mom. It's gotten better as we've gotten older, but at times it's mad standoffish.

I deny everyone that isn’t my mother. I used to get calls from my homegirls about why I don’t reach out and I’ve always been firm on “You not my mama “ I don’t appreciate every mother I know. That’s for her children to do. I appreciate MY mother. And now by extension, my step mother. And when we have a kid, I’ll do for my wife. Outside of that, nah.

If you love and appreciate ya mom then yea it matters. I know a bunch of people who hate they moms and baby moms and vice versa so those are the people who will use this holiday to throw shade. Im glad thats not my situation and i show love to all of em that i know

great attitude to have. me myself, my mom lives across the country and i don't have kids. but i am celebrating due to being a god mother lol. it's been a good day
