Is it me or is there no respect for the working man, the hustle or being responsible and independent

What you mean? Teen boys look up to you and Women being trying to slide in yo brand new car to get inside yo brand new hous.

And why does it matter what people think? I don't care if people don't respect my hard word. I sho ain't gone be thinking about nikkas while I'm at the Cayman Islands sipping margaritas.

That's another thing.

Let's keep it 100. Most people aren't living like that.

That's another thing I don't get. Folks gotta act like success or making it has to be some over the top shyt for appearances sake. Like this idea of having a benz, a mansion, 6 figures and basically this daydream that some coli members in here keep talking. I dunno about that but all I'm saying is folks kind of don't have a respect for reality and kind of doing a bit too much.

Seems to be more respect for the hustle (entrepreneurs, Social Media personalities, etc.) than it is for regular folk that have standard 9-5 and make a modest/comfortable living.

The idea of freedom and your success/authority over your product resting with you is rather appealing.

That's what I'm getting at. It's like folks acting like they can't do both when regardless they still gotta do the basic things in order to survive. Still gotta cook, clean, wash yourself, pay bills, have money on you and etc so in order to do that, they need to get a job or do something. If you're trying to survive, you're going to do what you NEED to do. You work you're way up to get where you want to be so you chill. Some people are able to skip that struggle step because they got a safety net. Nothing wrong with that but someone isn't going to make it if they don't know how to manage on their own.

The thing that I hate about social media is folks always show the rewards or the happy moments but never the work. And even if you're getting it, why show off knowing that people out here trying to get what you got.

I remember how it felt to be waiting for the bus in the cold and desperately wanting a car or just the little things even that people take for granted. I've had it better than many people growing up but nothing is wrong with working to be able to survive out here or moving up the ladder where you're paying off your bills or owning your shyt where you don't have to ask anybody for anything.

Most folks could live close to that but don't have the Discipline. It's called "Ballin On a Budget.":wow: A lot of people don't realize you can ball on a budget, especially on 6 figures you just have to be smart. Buying a house that's too big, paying Comcast $300/month, upgrading to a new cellphone every year, buying a new car instead of paying off their current. All of that shyt adds up big or small, but I think it's the small shyt that flys under the radar. Cut it all down and you could be throwing another $700/month in the bank.

There's nothing wrong with that type of appearance pertaining you keep it under control. I mean what else do you spend your money on if not a few luxuries?

I always take notice in the little things in life, you got to.

Regardless, you gotta remember that the people with the so called entrepreneur business are 9/10 times fake. Anybody who looks down on normal working people are fake and struggling. Especially the Instagram models and all the products they try to sponsor. How many of them folks you think making $200,000/year? Not a lot. All that shyt you see is paid for by somebody else or they up their necks in debt.

It's ridiculous out in the world...just stupid.

I work a high level federal job, make great steady income, have two businesses of my own, ain't flashy at all, stack my accounts and take care of my family, paid for the wifes master level education, son in private school and on the national honor roll, all vehicles paid off, we stay traveling and the only debt we owe is on our half-mil home, achieved the "American Dream" before 40 and doing better than anyone in my family...
Yet in society, I'm the black sheep because I don't fit the stereotype perpetuated by popular media and general societal mentality. Family hating, strangers hating, former friends hating, it's unbelievable.

Another brotha I have known for years now and still keep up on....barely able to take care of his family, got 6 kids and more coming every year, constantly hustling, borrowing other peoples clothes so he can continue to lie and hustle people, can't or won't hold down a steady job to take care of his family, cars constantly being repossessed, living with his wife's mother and family cause of a lack of stable finances, got 30 different "Ventures" going but none are actually paying.
But this nikka is LOVED by everyone! Ain't got money?....it's ok, people pay his way. Don't have a ride??...it's ok, someone will come get him. Don't have money to buy food to feed your family???....it's ok, someone will bring them some food. Ya wife actin up cause she's tired of not having the things in life she should??...it's ok, some thot comes to the rescue.

It's like...society only loves you when you're the underdog. So they can look down on you and feel better about themselves...and as long as you stay doing worse than mostly everyone, they'll give you everything without you even trying to get it for yourself.
All because of their own insecurities and issues.

Exactly. It's like doing what's basic instinct or common sense is seen as crazy and doing some crazy shyt is seen as normal.

Like nothing wrong with budgeting or saving money for a rainy day or even living at home with your parents or having roommates as long as there's a plan involved that leads to being self sufficent.
Crazy thing is there's folks coming from third world countries to the states with nothing and they are able to figure out the system to work for them. You got folks born and raised here with everything not knowing how to survive here. shyt is crazy.

People here ain't about shyt unless someone has a gun pointed at their head.
I'm from The Bronx, we weren't raised to move like that and hard work is what gets you what you dream about.
What they teach these fools around here....it ain't right.

Yeah I hear the DMV area women tend to be bougie. Sucks because it sounds like a good place for blacks over ATL

I mean I doubt society admires the bum ass nikka you talking about, he might have some people who genuinely care about him so they care of him regardless of him not being shyt but its not like his name holds weight in actual society
