Is it me or movies and music from the 90's seem better than today

which new black movies are deeper and more complex basically is what im asking.

Naw fam, I wasnt trying to insinuate that Black filmmaking is better now, just that the 90s movies sort of pigeonholed our efforts, and reduced it to nihilism. I will say that now its a lil more diverse, but thats about it. Fck a Tyler Perry tho.
