Is it me or the NFL no longer has good kick returners?

As I was saying, read this article. I can't believe some of you are blaming it on the rules when the rules have opened up the return game for more opportunities. More kick return TD's =/= more returns and explosive plays, which is what has occurred this year.

When it comes to the kickoff rules being changed over the years, I'm fine with the players being protected, just like I'm fine with the NFL protecting QB's. It is SIGNIFICANTLY better for the game to protect the QB's and kick/punt returners. Nobody wants to watch a bunch of backup QB's and replacement returners.

Your team is responsible for the existence of Random #s.

And they damn sure aren't better for the game. :jordanfacepalm: @PortCityProphet

Protecting QB's is absolutely better for the game. Roughing the passer should be reviewable, but no one is trying to see a Rattler v.s. Gabriel game. Maybe you would prefer that over Allen v.s. Lamar?

I'm not talking about that.

I'm referring to how your Patriots brought the Random #s to the league. :scusthov: :scust: :hhh:

:beli: is the one who brought CENSORED to the league and conned Sean P. into bringing that scrub to N.O. :pacspit:

Kicking and coverage have improved.

Every football player today is more athletic than they were twenty years ago. That includes even the bench / special teams guys.

Back in the day the returner had a large enough athletic advantage that he could win the inevitable 1 vs 4 game of tag that returns become. Now, those four guys trying to catch him are nearly as athletic as a #2 wide receiver was in the 90s

:dead:THEY LITERALLY CHANGED THE RULES
YET HE DECIDES TO POST THIS shyt ANYWAY

They changed the rules to make returns easier

For someone who lives on a sports message board you really are embarrassing

:dead: YEAH LINING THE DEFENSE
UP AT THE OPPOSING 40 YARD LINE
IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE THEM EASIER.

FUNNY HOW THERES BEEN 14 PUNT RETURNS
TO 5 KICK OFF RETURNS THIS SEASON....

NO COINCIDENCE THAT PUNT RETURNS
REMAINED THE SAME WHILE
KICK RETURNS BECAME "EASIER"

IN 2016 THEY LITERALLY MOVED TOUCHBACKS TO
THE 25 YARD LINE TO ENCOURAGE
FEWER RETURNS...
NOW A TOUCHBACK IS AT THE 35 YARD LINE DOOFUS.

They moved touchbacks to create more returns by encouraging teams to not kick it out of the end zone. Damn you’re stupid
