The original point being discussed is who is happier. You tried to support the idea that single and childless women are happier by stating men commit suicide more. I pointed out that women attempt suicide 3 times the rate of men, though men are more successful. So that actually shows they are probably not happier. If you're in your sixties and childless and single but still happy then who gives a damn? Your life could have failed in dozens of ways and it didn't. If the worst thing about your life is that you didn't have kids or a spouse, that's not as bad as having kids that hate you or are a menace to society. Single, childless and highly educated women are the happiest group was the premise. Is that premise correct? Well, according to actual data that premise has a good chance of being false. What a single person may experience can entirely be different, but in this situation a designation of people were being discussed (group), not any singular person's experience which again can be different.

I started the thread because it popped up in my Reddit feed, and the opposite is so widely spouted on these message boards, but what @aXiom says is #bigfacts. If you ever want to see a subreddit where women don't really take accountability for any of their actions, then that's the one to read. Don't stay there too long though, as it could be detrimental to your mental health.
