I do notice a difference in the tone of hatred between whites and blacks when it comes to athletes. Black people for the most part only diss (black) athletes because of their play on the field or court, or diss them while trying to big up their favorite player.

White people always take it beyond performance, questioning the athletes character. We all hear phrases like "he is so arrogant, cocky, selfish, disrespectful, fake humble." They also tend to always bring up off the court/field issues when discussing athletes.

I never hear black people bring up rape, infidelity, "the decision," or immaturity when they are discussing who is better, Kobe or Lebron. Oh but it is quite normal when arguing with caucasian persuasion.
