Is it possible to be a smoker and have bad social skills?

I don't think it's possible. Especially when you're out somewhere and see a bunch of strangers meeting together for the first time all start yakking it up, sharing cigs/blunts, sharing matches, etc.

If you ever actually have a light and offer it, do they ever not say "thank you"?

yes, it is possible. not all smokers are great at striking up conversations or maintaining one once it's started. and i'm saying that as a smoker who's dealt with smokers that don't have good social skills. fortunately, i actually use my habit to my advantage when it comes to social situations...

When I visited Jamaica, I got passed a blunt a couple of times in the club. It really depends on the place/atmosphere.

Smoking is not the cause of our great social skills, our great social skills are the cause of us smoking. We're naturally more extroverted, confident, fearless, risk takers etc. Our personality traits are why we're more susceptible to smoking and not concerned with looking at total strangers in the eyes and striking up random conversations.
