I was watching nfl films top 10 dynasties and they named the 1970’s cowboys on their list . I was confused because there was only one dynasty in the 70’s and that was the steel curtain. There’s only been 7 total dynasties in nfl history anyway. Browns of the 50’s, Packers of the 60’s, Steel curtain 70’s, 1980’s 49ers, 90’s cowboys, 00’s Pats and 20’s Chiefs.

I feel the same way when people say the 1980’s Celtics were a dynasty, no they weren’t that was Showtime

You're missing the the pre super bowl dynasties

The 1930-1939 Packers
The monsters of the midway, the 1940-1947 Chicago Bears

There can be multiple dynasties at the same time. Or right beside each other.

The spurs are a dynasty when they never went back to back and another team 3peated on their watch?
Yes, why not? Esp considering Duncans knee injury opened the door for the Lakers to break through and win their first. Also, when the Lakers 3peated, who ended their run in resounding fashion? The Spurs did. Thats the point of conpeting dynasties. Sometimes they dominate you, sometimes you dominate them. Who says you have to go back to back to be a dynasty?

Because every dynasty in history won back to back but we give the spurs a pass. They never even went to 2 straight finals until 2013-2014

Dynasties dominate everyone. If we are competing back and forth you aren’t a dynasty.

How many chips did the core of the Spurs team win in total?
5. When did their “dynasty” start?

Was it it in 1999 when another team 3peated on their watch? Was it still on when another team won back to back from 09-10 and then 12-13?
