Legends and classics aren't to be taken lightly.

We're still playing (PERFORMING) songs by Beethoven from over 200 fukking years ago.

It's not inconceivable to say that Bob Marley has reached this level of permanence.

Redemption Song>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And this is what bothers me when i listen to Bob's music and you compare it to the soulless, empty, uninpiring garbage you hear now.
Bob's music was filled with so much positivity and good messages. We need to move back to that.

I've always liked Steel Pulse better than Bob..better singer and more political lyrics..not that Bob wasnt political tho..

yeah Bob wasn't quite as political as some of his compatriots, but he still did make some extremely potent political songs. Exodus was perhaps his most balanced album with half political and half love songs, and Survival (one of my favorite albums of his) has strong political songs throughout.

But yeah, Bob's diversity was one of his main strengths in my eyes, because he did the political songs and the love songs equally well. Like, you could throw on any album of his and it will sound good to me. And his songs were also very poetic, he was a very gifted writer.
