Would you rather spend $10 to park your car or on groceries?

Penny saved is a penny earned…

paying for parking is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. such a rip off. I go through almost ANY length NOT to do it if possible. I AVOID garages. and when going downtown, I know of secret spots that are free and will try to park there and walk to my destination if close enough. also the meters don't charge if its late enough or I simply take the train if I know I'm going downtown and there won't be any parking.

Theyre making it virtually impossible to park for free in my city..

All the parking garages have automated systems... and they got rid of the one secret lot everyone parked in

fukking haters :smh:

I dont use garages. thats the biggest rip off. I would rather pay the automatic meters. if you live in a city, you should be taking public transportation to class if its during normal business hours, otherwise you're gonna get raped on parking.

out here, only an idiot would drive downtown during business hours as the garages are gonna charge u like $10-12 just for the first 30 minutes alone.

If I pay using the machine right after I park.. Then come back 5 hours later & roll out.. I'm good right? Has anyone tried this?

Most garages where im at have a 15 min time limit to exit from the time you pay. Most of my parking is related to work so I get it expensed but I paid $32 last Saturday downtown for non work:stopitslime:

I work on and install parking equipment. If you wanna grab a new ticket before you leave, you need to approach the ticket machine with METAL. A decent size of metal that you could lay on the "A" loop. If you look on the ground in front of the ticket spitter, you'll see 2 square saw cuts in the concrete. The one saw cut that is pretty much right infront of the machine is the "A" loop. Lay metal across the loop and the ticket spitter will think there is a car there. You can then get a new ticket. The "B" loop is pretty much under the gate arm, or close to it.The "B" loop is there so that when the car drives across it, the gate will come down. So, if you walk up to the ticket spitter with no metal at all and push the button, nothing will happen.

That's how you get a new ticket. But if you get caught somehow, that's on you.

I'd go somewhere that has free parking in the first place instead of possible fines/embarrassment:mjlol:

There is never free parking that's the problem…

you mean like on foot? …....dangerous if there is someone in the booth near by

I haven't seen someone in a booth at the garage for years, it's all automated.

I agree. I HATE paying for parking. There have been times where I feel like I waste more time/gas trying to find a free spot, than just paying. It's the worst though…

Y'all are making this difficult lol. Where you go to push the button and it spits out a ticket, simply go get another one before you leave. Usually it's free for like 30 minutes…

You need metal. The whole point of having loops is to stop people from doing exactly what your saying to do.
