This Bible scripture always had me . I mean no matter where you live, when you go out in public there is gonna women around and let's be honest, you are gonna find some of them attractive

What is "lust in heart" then? I take it as you feeling some kind of emotional attachment like love over some woman you want to fukk. A love that's only supposed to be reserved for your spouse.

The only way men are not going to find women attractive in general, is if the women are forced to wrap themselves up. It explains why Islam and some other orthodox religions push that so much. Normal human nature is that we find the opposite sex attractive the more visually appealing they are.

So I would take that passage as more of a warning about human nature than as some declaration about sinnful urges. I am an agnostic though.

Yea, this is how I took the verse.


In the religion I grew up in it felt like that verse came up multiple times over the years, and it feels like they meant to literally be when you see a attractive women in public if you are married, you committed adultery.
