Is it safe to say that Lil Wayne's reign is over?

There used to be a point for a few years that Wayne had the game on lock and you couldn't go a day without hearing Wayne on a song. He was killing features left and right and was dropping dope albums and mixtapes and after he dropped The Cater 3 he was top of the world.

However now in the era of Drake, Kendrick, J Cole ect he's starting to become an afterthought. It may have to do with the decrease in his music quality for the past few years or just simply his time being up with the rise of new emcees from his generation (gen y) stepping up to shine. It seems like the Wayne era is over. What are y'all's thoughts?

he did it to himself, the Rebirth albums, over saturation, too many verses were either complete gibberish or just plain wack. get back with Mannie & get off the drugs, i might consider d/l an album again.

It would be good to hear him on Mannie's beats again but only if he starts putting in actual efforts in his rhymes again. He needs to go a back to basics approach on his next album imo.

my reasoning is if Mannie was behind the boards he would keep him focused. Carter 1 is dope & IMO Weezy's best album outside of Tha Block Is Hot

Wayne aint been on top for a minute now. Dude's a legacy rapper now in that he's going to his numbers, still make hit songs from time to time but as far as being considered the top dog in the game, nah (which isnt bad, not many rappers make it to the point)
